April 2025
SAT, PSAT, and CMAS Testing
Reminder: SAT, PSAT, and CMAS Science Testing on April 16-17
Attention parents and students! Important testing days are coming up on April 16th and 17th, including the SAT, PSAT, and CMAS Science assessments. These assessments are vital in gauging your child's academic progress and preparing them for future educational pursuits. The PSAT and SAT are not just tests; they serve as valuable tools for college and career readiness. The results provide insights into areas of strength and areas that may need improvement, guiding both students and educators in tailoring educational plans. High scores on these exams can open doors to various scholarship opportunities and college admissions, setting the foundation for a successful future.
Wednesday, April 16
- 9th Grade does not report to school
- 10th Grade will take the PSAT 10
- 11th Grade will take the SAT
Thursday, April 17
- 10th Grade does not report to school
- 9th Grade will take the PSAT 8/9
- 11th Grade will take the CMAS Science exam
Seniors will not report on either of these testing days. There will be a 12:30 dismissal for all students on both of these days. ECA will be open on the afternoon of both the 16th and 17th to any students who need additional academic support or time to catch up on late or missing work.
These tests are a key part of academic progress and college readiness, so we encourage students to come prepared. Make sure to get plenty of rest the night before, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive on time with any necessary materials. A positive mindset and preparation can make a big difference—let’s aim for success!
Open Campus Reminder
Early College Academy is a open campus for Juniors and Seniors in good academic standing. Open Campus is an earned privilege! Since good academic standing at Aims requires students to maintain a 2.0 GPA at minimum, students with Ds or Fs will remain on campus and work in the Student Support Center during free periods/off blocks until all of their grades are passing with Cs or higher. Per the Student Handbook, "ECA staff reserve the right to revoke this privilege based on student academic progress, behavior, or for other reasons at their discretion." An opt-out form may also be signed by a guardian if they do not want their student to have this privilege.
Senior's Corner
Seniors, stay on track for your future!
